Family Fun in Greer

This summer the Reed clan spent a week together in Greer. We had a great week! It was so fun to spend some quality time with my family. I am truly blest with wonderful daughters and a great husband. My mom and dad were able to join us, along with my nephew Brandon. We made some great memories that will never be forgotten!!

I did find out that my girls (and their spouses) can COOK! Each family took an evening and made a meal for the rest of the group. Saturday night belonged to Kristen and Jesse. They made their wonderful homemade pizza (from scratch)!

Sunday night was Dale and I. We made green chili burros and spanish rice. Sadly, no one took our picture. :(

Monday night my mom and dad made Grandma Lucas' famous Chicken and Dumplings. Great meal for the mountains.

Tuesday night belonged to Ally and Dave. Navajo Taco's with Cafe Rio Sweet Pork. YUM!

Wednesday, Chad and Meg made some Delicioso homemade Spaghetti Sauce. (Sliced mushrooms and all!)

The last night was spent grilling hot dogs and hamburgers. We had way too much food. But it sure was good.

We spent the week playing games, eating, riding in the golf carts and enjoying the fresh mountain air. I want to move to Greer. :)

The Good Grandpa

We are planning a family vacation in Greer in a few weeks so Dale and I have been trying collect some fun things for the grandkids to play with while we are there. Well, Dale, ever the frugal garage sale shopper found a "great bargain"! A bag full of beads for $5!! (I mean a FULL BAG!)

He bought some plastic organizers at Hobby Lobby and spent 3 hours dividing all of the colors and bead types and placing them in the organizers. What a guy! I just hope Kennedy doesn't find it. They will all end up on the floor in no time!

Happy 1st Anniversary Ally and Dave!

Wow...has it really been a year since my baby got married? Sad to see time fly but I am very happy for her. Dave is a wonderful husband and son-in-law. Happy Anniversary. (Bentley is doing fine!)

Nando Dinners

We have decided to take our kid's families out seperately every once in a while so we can visit with them. When the whole group is together it is pretty much organized chaos! My mom and dad told us about a new restaurant in NE Mesa that we love! Nando's Mexican Cafe.

Saturday was Kristen and Jesse's turn. I armed myself with some bribes from the dollar store to keep Kennedy in her seat. Thanks to PEZ dispensers and Glow bracelets, the girls were great and we had a wonderful dinner. Here are some random photos from Dale's iPhone. (This will be another post sometime soon....I got Dale an iPhone for Christmas thinking it would get him to enjoy the technical world a bit. He is now totally out of control, which is evident on his Facebook page!)

Fish and Swim Day!

The weather is finally getting warm. The girls came over to help grandpa clean the fish pond and take a dip in the kiddie pool.

Kennedy didn't want to swim. She was enjoying her chocolate popsicle too much!
Gotta get the fish out of the pond so we can clean it!

The pond got cleaned up and the girls had a good time.
